Ultrasonic velocity measurements of UNiSn

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

UNiSn in the MgAgAs-type crystal structure is characterised by a simultaneous magnetic, metallic and crystallographic phase transition occurring at 43 K. Results of measurement of both the transverse and longitudinal sound velocities in polycrystalline UNiSn through this transition are presented and compared with theoretical predictions.
