Abstract
Neutron diffraction reveals that in CePd3Si0.3 the Si is incorporated into the Cu3Au structure at the octahedral interstitial site. Resistivity and susceptibility measurements on CePd3Six alloys show a crossover from a coherent Kondo lattice (x = 0) to a single impurity Kondo regime (x = 0.03) and eventually to a magnetic ground state at x = 0.3. The magnetoresistance of CePd3Six shows dramatic changes as a function of Si concentration. An analysis is presented for magnetoresistance data of the CePd3Si0.07 alloy following Schlottman's theory, based on the Coqblin-Schrieffer model.
