Abstract
The transient stability of an induction motor, supplied by a series capacitor compensated feeder, is investigated. Theoretically computed response curves are corroborated by laboratory recordings, both when the motor is starting up and when it receives a short-circuit while running. The effect of various parameters on the transient stability is evaluated.
