Abstract
In this note, a lower bound is derived on the order of stabilizers for an all-pole plant and is related to the number and locations of the plant's unstable and lightly damped poles. Trivially, the minimal order of stabilizers is (n - 1) if all n poles of the plant are real and unstable. Several examples are included to illustrate the results.
