Abstract

The results of measurements of the thermopower S ( T ), thermal conductivity κ ( T ), and Hall coefficient RH ( T ) of CeRhIn are presented in order to correlate the behaviour in these properties with the previously reported intermediate-valent-related phenomena. Extrema are found in both S ( T ) and κ ( T ) near the susceptibility-derived Ce3 + → Ce4 + excitation temperature of Tex ≃ 133 K. The Hall coefficient is found to be small and positive, suggesting a metallic-like carrier concentration.
