Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

NIGERITE, an oxide of aluminum, iron, zinc, and tin, was first described from the Egbe district (formerly Kabba Province) in Nigeria (fig. 2) (Jacobson and Webb 1947; Bannister, Hey, and Stadler 1947). The mineral occurs in quartz-sillimanite veins associated with stanniferous pegmatites and was named after Nigeria, the country of its discovery, not to be confused with neighboring Niger.
