Abstract

Analyses the network and geographical fabric of interlocking directorates. Large business enterprises exhibit a high level of interconnections through directorates, with the network becoming denser around the major banks and mine houses. Overwhelmingly, the city of Johannesburg is the axis of the national network of directorships. -from Authors
