Abstract
Positive psychology theories usually focus on positive, holistic, health-related concepts within psychology. Recent studies in psychobiography emphasise the need of developing psychobiographical theory further, considering the positive psychology movements (PP1.0) and the new wave of positive psychology (PP2.0). In this chapter, it is argued that more psychobiographical studies based on the PP1.0 and PP2.0 perspectives could impact positively on individuals and societies to provide guidance orientation by giving positive and constructive examples of role models and on how to conduct one’s life balanced with purpose and meaningfulness. Thereby, an integrative approach of positive and negative aspects needs to be given to display a holistic viewpoint of the person. This chapter aims at providing insight and new discourses on the theoretical development of psychobiographies based on PP1.0 and PP2.0.
