Abstract

The research solely focuses on Municipal leadership. It delves into the technical, analytical and leadership skills required in adopting the technology transfer in the case of Metropolitan Municipalities in Gauteng, South Africa. Five such hypotheses can be established from the research theories and studies. In order to test them, a total of around 150 respondents are surveyed from a particular metropolitan municipality. This revealed that leadership skills and technology transfer have a robust impact on municipal performance. Through technological transfer performance, leadership, analytical and technical skills also influence municipal performance indirectly. The findings and analysis are used to draw recommendations and future scope on leadership management implications.
