N2 - The business environment and production methods have drastically changed during the last ten years. The driving force for this transition is Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) and artificial intelligence (AI). The idea of intelligent augmentation will be at the center of the best AI systems' design. The jobs with the most job security in an AI future will be those requiring management expertise and innovation. Humans differ from other species in this way of capabilities. Those that can work well with others while utilizing AI tools to improve their organization's efficiency, will provide the most value. An output that is both resource- and energy-efficient is a crucial key performance measure for industrial firms to operate profitably and keep their competitiveness. The study presents a conceptual literature framework of the impact of AI in the manufacturing sector. The manufacturing sector is leading the way on the utilization of artificial intelligence technologies. Manufacturers are using AI-powered data analytics to improve productivity, product quality, and worker safety, from major reductions in unexpected downtime to better product design.
