Abstract

This paper shows that the well-known diagonal dominance condition associated with Kosenbrock's stability theorems is unnecessary and can be replaced by a less rest riel ivo generalized diagonal dominance condition. Similar results arc derived for generalised block diagonally dominant systems. Whenever possible graphical interpretations are given to facilitate the implementation of these ideas in computer aided design packages.
