Abstract
In mobile adhoc networks (MANET), stealthy attack, which is a collection of four different attacks such as misrouting, identity delegation, power control and colluding collision, can easily disrupt the network. In order to overcome this suite of attack, an advanced architecture is needed. This paper proposes an advanced swarm based architecture for defense against stealthy attacks in MANET. In the proposed architecture, Ant Colony Optimization ACO technique is applied to select the reliable monitoring nodes who easily detect any misbehavior attack. To increase the confidence level, Dempster-Shafer theory is implemented. Also, Misbehavior Report Authentication (MRA) technique is implemented which can detect any kind of false behavior report generated by malicious attacker even in case packet is transmitted to destination. Simulation results show that the proposed architecture increases the detection accuracy and reduces the false positives and overhead.
