Abstract
Sustainable transportation is a vital aspect of supporting society’s mobility needs while minimizing environmental harm and ensuring the mobility needs of future generations are not compromised. This chapter explores the interplay between transportation, technology, and sustainable planning. It highlights the significant role technology plays in transportation and urban planning, thereby promoting sustainable development within the built environment. However, it is crucial to address the challenges, particularly those related to the built environment, in order to fully harness the advantages offered by these modern technologies.
