Abstract

This research work aims to depict the high temperature behaviour of two different materials at a temperature. For investigations, samples were coated using plasma spray technique and the same were tested for high temperature corrosive properties with air and salt mixture Further, the metallurgical studies expose the formation of oxide scale during the process and found that the major alloying elements have predominantly reacted with the corrosive environment which promotes the formation of oxides. The surface of the tested samples has pores and cracks formed during the degradation of surface were recognized during the morphological studies.
