Abstract
HIGH-RESOLUTION X-RAY DIFFRACTION (XRD) was used to determine the crystal structure of a new intermetallic compound, Ce2PdGe3, that was recently synthesized as part of a broader research programme to study the electronic and magnetic properties of cerium and uranium compounds. The method of Rietveld refinement was applied to reveal further details of the atomic structure from the XRD data.
