Abstract

Results of the single crystal study of Ga2Te3 chalcogenide have been reported using precession technique. Crystals were obtained from the polycrystalline ingot, grown from the melt. The mirror like reflecting faces of the crystal were found {111} of cubic zinc blende and a0 = 5.9005A°. The translation period was calculated as 10.22A° which refers to the cube diagonal [111] of zinc blende and also parallel to [0001] of the hexagonal form. The primitive lattice was determined as rhombohedral (Trigonal) with axial length 4.1723A° and angle 60°.
