Abstract

The increased renewable penetration in the existing grid needs proper scheduling strategy in order to make the optimal usage of the available resources. This has necessitated the proper scheduling of various load users to achieve maximum monetary benefit for the users and operational benefits for the operators. Optimized load scheduling of commercial and integrated smart residential loads in a conventional distribution system is focused majorly to make use of their flexible nature in load scheduling. A scheduling scheme has been proposed with the objective to achieve the maximum cost reduction. This has been analysed with the integration of solar Photo Voltaic based Distributed Generation resources. The concept of load rescheduling is carried with respect to the availability of renewable resources to avoid the grid dependency and to reduce the electrical stress in the system. The proposed methods are tested on IEEE 33 Bus system and the results are promising.
