Abstract
As the proliferation of new data-incentive applications in mobile networks, how to efficiently disseminating data among mobile devices has attracted more and more research attentions. Different techniques have been put forward to increase the dissemination efficiency. In this paper, we propose a new class of scheduling strategies for the data dissemination in mobile networks. A finite linear network with mobility limited mobile nodes is considered. Our results show significant improvement in terms of the system capacity and the packet dissemination success probability. We also conclude that the network size to packets number ratio (N/K) is a key parameter in determining the system performance. Furthermore, we point out that such scheduling strategy is very simple, distributed and induces no additional communication overhead to the mobile networks.
