Abstract

Salutogenesis, developed by Aaron Antonovsky, explores health development through the Sense of Coherence (SOC) and General Resistance Resources (GRRs). The SOC encompasses comprehensibility, manageability, and meaningfulness. GRRs, like social support, positively impact well-being. Recent research emphasises consistent experiences and balancing challenges through resource activation. Salutogenesis, applicable cross-culturally, aids stress prevention. Studies link high SOC to managerial intercultural competence. In rapidly changing workplaces, organisations fostering SOC-orientated cultures create resilient, mentally healthy environments. Future trends in research focus on mental health in diverse, global contexts, aligning with Industry 4.0 challenges, addressing stress, burnout, and fostering positive health interventions.
