Abstract

A series of rhodium(I) metallacycles based on alkylated PTA complexes were synthesised and fully characterised using a range of spectroscopic and analytical techniques. These mononuclear Rh(I) complexes were evaluated in the aqueous biphasic (water-toluene) hydroformylation of 1-octene, showing chemoselectivity to aldehydes.
