Abstract
Radiofrequency electromagnetic fields (RF-EMFs) are ubiquitous anthropogenic physical stressors that are rapidly expanding. Humans are mainly exposed from a multitude of RF-EMF energy emitting sources. Several studies suggest an association between RF-EMFs exposure and development of health induced outcomes such as cancer and other severe effects. This paper discusses the association between RF-EMF exposure and severe health implications. Relevant literature was searched using Google Scholar, PubMed, NCBI Science Direct, and Research Gate. Out of a total of fifty articles, thirty-nine were selected and used to compile this review. Study findings were compared with each other based on possible health effects related to RF-EMF exposure. Fewer studies suggest that the RF-EMF exposure be classified as a Group 1 known human carcinogen. However, the adverse effects of RF-EMF exposure on both public health and ecology may worth future investigations. The development of RF public policies and safety guidelines formulated using the available scientific evidence.
