Abstract

Psychobiography focuses on the lives of extraordinary individuals. In essence, psychobiographies are biographies that employ psychological theory to clarify and illuminate historically significant experiences, events, and contributions within an extraordinary person’s life and in the relevant sociocultural contexts of that lived experience. This chapter is the introductory chapter to the book and provides insights into the discourse on psychobiography beyond WEIRD and the chapters in the book.
