Abstract
The progress in several primary hydrogen storage techniques, including high pressure compression, intensified compression with absorbent materials, liquefaction and metal hydride, was reviewed in detail. In addition, the prospect of hydrogen storage technology was forecasted and expected. It is pointed out that improving the density and safety of hydrogen storage, decreasing the cost were the problems which need urgently to be resolved.
