Abstract

We studied the effect of Ni incorporation on the magnetic properties of CeSbNix using resistivity, susceptibility, and magnetization measurements under high pressures and magnetic fields. With pressure, TN increases for CeSbNix with x≤0.15. At the same time, pressure weakens a Cr-like anomaly found in the resistivity of CeSbNi0.08. While under high pressure bulk properties of CeSbNi0.08 are very similar to those of CeSb, the pressure dependence of the resistivity and magnetization of CeSbNi0.15 show different behavior.
