Abstract

In this paper, we introduce a power control scheme for wireless data in a direct sequence code-division multiple-access radio mobile system under Multipath environments. The motivation for this study is twofold, limiting the inter-user interference to increase the system throughput and reducing the power consumption to prolong the battery life. We utilize the delay insensitive property of the data traffic to automatically control the transmission base on the channel quality. The proposed tradeoffs between the transmit power and its associate cost Simulation results demonstrate efficiency of the proposed algorithm, in comparison with other power control algorithms.
