Abstract

Analysis of the leave exudate of Aloe plicatilis resulted in the isolation of a new compound designated plicataloside. Its structure, 2,8-O,O-di-(β-D-glucopyranosyl)-1,2,8-trihydroxy-3-methylnaphthalene, was established by spectral and chemical methods.
