Abstract

This chapter explores translational research for policy development and describes the service development and practice development which follows. We used a participative model of public and practitioner involvement in evidence-informed policy to create a collaborative network for the development of national newborn blood spot screening policy in the United Kingdom. We present this case study and reflect on our approach to translational research and change management.
