N2 - The attainment of sustainable construction is receiving global attention due to the glaring benefits form its espousal. Nevertheless, there is an obvious gap in the deliberations for sustainable construction with respect to the roles of organisational leadership. On this premise, this study evaluates the roles of organisational leadership in the pursuit of sustainable construction. Utilising a quantitative approach, data was elicited from relevant respondents which made the population of the study. Data were retrieved with the use of a well-structured questionnaire and was analysed using appropriate methods of data analysis. The study’s findings revealed that the significant role played by organisational leadership in the drive for sustainable construction is acting as integrators. Also, the significant internal and external factors influencing the drive for sustainable construction by organisational leadership were revealed. Conclusively, the study placed emphasis on the core roles mandated from the top hierarchy of construction organisations for the attainment of sustainable construction delivery.
