Abstract

Distributed energy resources are sources of energy which are generated deployed near end-users. They can either be renewables or non-renewable energy sources This paper outlines recent related literatures in the last five years on hybrid distributed energy resources, including wind, solar, Combine Cooling Heating and Power (CCHP), Combine Heating and Power (CHP), geothermal and hydro. It highlights the various methods deployed and the challenges facing DER which has now become a ground-breaking research area for scholars to explore and proffer solutions.
