Abstract

Simultaneous optimization of bot. The noise figure and gain of a low noise amplifier employing capacitive shunt-shunt feedback and an LC-ladder input matching network is discussed. The amplifier operates from 800 MHz (beloy the GSM band) to well abov. The ultra-wideband and as such is suitable for software-defined radio implementations. An S21 of 20 dB is obtained for a minimum noise figure of 2.1 dB reaching a maximum of 3.9 dB at 800 MHz and 18 GHz which ar. The cut-off frequencies. Power consumption is limited to only 12.75 mW.
