Abstract

In this paper end-to-end performance of a dual hop wireless communication (WLC) system with half duplex regenerative relay over asymmetric links is analysed. Here first hop is comprised with radio frequency (RF) link which is modelled as Rayleigh distribution and second hop is free space optical (FSO) link, modelled as double generalized Gamma (DGG). Specifically, we have derived the expression of probability density function (PDF) and cumulative distribution function (CDF) with regard to Meijers G-function. The above mentioned results are further utilized to derive the expressions of outage probability (OP) and average bit error rate (ABER).
