Abstract
In this paper, we answer some open questions raised in [Filomat 34 (2020), no. 11, 3855-3860] by introducing some new classes of contractive mappings, including several classes as a special case. We establish some existence results for these mappings and present illustrative examples in their support. Moreover, we demonstrate that several well-known results follow as direct consequences of our findings.
