Abstract

This chapter is the introductory chapter of the “International Handbook of Emotions: Resourceful Cultural Perspectives”, Volume 1. The chapter introduces the concept of positive, resourceful emotions, explains emotion transformation, and presents selected interventions to transform emotions. The interplay between culture and emotions is further examined, offering a comprehensive insight into the chapters featured in Volume 1 of the International Handbook.
