Abstract
From the physical analysis and engineering application point, the applicability of the most economical structural synthese of linear control systems is studied. A new ideal, the most economical specific structure, and its synthesis algorithm are presented. The application of this synthesis method to a paper machine control system shows that the resulted control system not only performs satisfactorily and requires low investment, but also makes implementation and maintainance easier. The reliability and working rate of the control system is improved a great deal than the original, and economical profit since the new control put in operation is very significant.
