Abstract

In this research, the microstructural analysis of FexB2xMgx was investigated. The choice of FexB2xErx was borne from existing literatures to invent a new material that has both magnetic characteristics and satisfactory mechanical properties for industrial use. FexB2xMgx was prepared by standard solid-state reaction. The characterization was done using transmission electron microscopy (TEM)). The analysis of the images was done using ImageJ and CERN-Root software. The results presented show that the material is a good candidate for engineering application.
