title = "Laboratory Errors and Their Effects on Quality Management",
abstract = "This study examines which phase of the lab has more errors than the others. Errors at the research laboratories have three phases named Pre-Analytical, Analytical and Post-Analytical. The objectives of this research include investigating the principal causes of laboratory errors, the types, frequency and magnitude of the errors. This is the reason why Pre and Post Analytical examination are equally important for assessment. It further proves how the errors can impact the performance of laboratories, and if the quality is a mutually inclusive, dependent or independent variable from performance. The study used a quantitative method to gather the data using questionnaires. The results revealed that other types of lab errors contribute a lesser impact in lab testing more than human errors. However, every error has an impact on the overall performance of the laboratories thus the quality standards it sets for a specific organization that practices lab testing.",
