Abstract

The compounds CeTSb₂ (T Ni, Cu, Pd and Ag) have been investigated by X-ray diffraction, susceptibility, resistivity, thermoelectric power and inelastic neutron scattering measurements. These compounds crystallise in the tetragonal UCuAs₂-type structure. Their transport properties show Kondo lattice behaviour. CeAgSb₂ orders magnetically below 10 K with a ferromagnetic component.
