Abstract
The present interview analyzes the artistic production and the cultural activity of Adál Maldonado in the contexts of New York and Puerto Rico. The conversations reflect on the experience of Foto Gallery, a pioneer expositive space in the scene of the Seventies, where the work of some of the key names of the New York artistic world was shown; it analyses, furthermore, the collaboration between Adál and Pedro Pietri and Tito Puente, exploring the connections between visual arts, performing arts, literature and music. Finally, it confronts the artist's vision on creativity linked to his experience as nuyorican, ofering a broad perspective.
