Abstract
Microgrid clusters (MGC) are becoming more and more dependent on distributed energy supplies, and their proper functioning necessitates the use of modern control technology. Microgrid clusters have to operate together well to share power across microgrids and the main grid, enhancing the distribution network's efficiency, stability and dependability. Thus, the fundamental ideas of MGC control - which combines distributed and hierarchical control frameworks with decentralized, hybrid and distributed control techniques - are presented in this chapter.
