Abstract

Innovation in manufacturing now combines conservative concepts to facilitate sustainable production. While newly emerging technologies can positively impact the economic propensity of enterprises engaging in sustainable production disposition, the urgency to deliver the required solution calls for proactive measures. This paper is essential to the current applications of emerging technologies to promote sustainability in manufacturing. While the impact of developing technological advances as a proactive measure for operational performance improvement from the triple bottom line perspective is the primary goal of this article, the study recommends that the involvement of public and private stakeholders will improve sustainability techniques in future manufacturing.
