Abstract
The enable phase of the SCOR (Supply Chain Operations Reference) model plays a pivotal role in supply chain performance, focusing on activities such as risk management, data management, inventory control, and communication. This study conducts a systematic literature review to identify Industry 4.0 technologies applicable to enhance the enable phase in the manufacturing sector. Key activities and their co-occurring technologies are identified through bibliometric analysis, with 111 documents (2020-2024) reviewed revealing frequent integration of technologies such as IoT, machine learning, simulation and digital twins with the enable phase key activities such as management and analysis of supply chain risk. The study also evaluates real-world applications of these technologies, highlighting their impact on risk mitigation, inventory optimisation and overall supply chain efficiency. The study underscores the potential of Industry 4.0 technologies in optimising the SCOR model's Enable phase. It provides actionable insights for selecting appropriate technologies tailored to specific supply chain management in the manufacturing sector. This review bridges a knowledge gap by connecting the SCOR model's Enable phase with Industry 4.0 applications, offering a roadmap for future research and practical advancements in manufacturing supply chain optimisation.
