Abstract
Saurabh Sinha, senior lecturer in microelectronics at the University of Pretoria, and Chairman of IEEE South Africa Section, has embarked on an expansion program to bring the extensive benefits of the global organization to South Africa. He is developing a close relationship with the South African Institute of Electrical Engineers (SAIEE) and is working together in a number of areas. He is currently working on the expansion the editorial review board of the SAIEE Africa Research Journal (ARJ). He would like to recruit more active volunteers from all sectors, from academia, from industry and even those who are retired to freely give of their time and share their expertise to take engineering profession to the next level. The IEEE Standards Association (IEEE-SA) is a leading developer of industry standards in a broad-range of industries.
