Abstract

The optimal utilization of demand response for distribution network is a complex and combinatorial problem. Therefore, conventional methods of optimization cannot achieve the goal of distribution operator. In this study, different pricing of demand response (DR) model using particle swarm optimization to minimize the network loss and deviation in node voltage are investigated. To show the efficacy of successful implementation of different pricing of DR, it is compared with standard distribution network without consideration of DR and within different proposed pricing of DR. Moreover, three different consumer categories are considered in a single distribution network and analyzed the economic and technical aspects with the different pricing of DR. The proposed scheme helps in investigating the comparable solution for selecting the different DR pricing schemes for feeders of multiple categories of consumers.
