Abstract
The results of an inelastic neutron scattering experiment on UCoAl are presented. We map the magnetic excitations especially at moderate and high energies. In comparison to isostructural URhAl, we observed a relatively narrow and weak quasielastic response without any strong temperature dependence. The high-energy spectra revealed a very broad magnetic excitations in the 100-200 meV energy range. We did not find any traces of an intermultiplet transition.
