Abstract

A Hammett reaction constant ρ + of -0.60 has been determined for the styrene addition of H3C-P-W(C-O)5, as generated from the appropriate 7-phosphanorbornadlene complex. The anti-l syn-phosphirane product ratio is ca. 4.
