Growth of telecommunications: In Africa

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Data gathered by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) shows that Africa lags behind in the usage of all sectors of telecoms. On the other hand, this means that Africa has the greatest potential for growth. This growth becomes all the more interesting over the next several decades as Africa's population soars from about 1100 million in 2014 to 2400 million by 2050 as predicted by the United Nations.
