Abstract

Nanotechnology, which comprehends the understanding of the fundamental physics, chemistry, biology, and technology of nanometre-scale (10-9 meters) objects, has become one of the most exploited research area during last three decades (Murray et al., 1993; Chreigton et al., 1979). Most benefits of nanotechnology depend on the fact that it is possible to tailor the essential structures of materials at the nanoscale to achieve specific properties, thus greatly extending the well-used toolkits of materials science. Using nanotechnology, materials can effectively be made stronger, lighter, more durable, more reactive, more sieve-like, or to be better electrical conductors, among many other traits.
