Abstract

The aim of the present paper is to employ new commuting conditions to obtain some fixed point theorems as applications of the new notions. The new notions are proper generalisation of the existing notions of similar type. As compared to the notion of pointwise R-weak commuting and the equivalent notion of weak compatibility, which imply commutativity at coincidence points but are of little help in establishing the existence of coincidence points, the new notions not only imply commutativity at coincidence points but are also useful in establishing the existence of coincidence points.
