Existence and convergence results for generalized α-nonexpansive mappings in hyperbolic metric spaces

Abstract

We consider a new type of nonexpansive mappings and obtain a number of existence and convergence theorems in hyperbolic metric spaces. This new class of nonlinear mapping properly contains nonexapsive, Suzuki type generalized nonexapsive and partially enteds α-nonexpansive mappings. We also give examples to show the generality of the mappings considered herein.
