Abstract

This paper presents a management and control of energy stored for a distributed generation working on islanded mode. Constituted essentially with weather depending generations sources, the distributed generation systems are subject to uncertainties and vulnerable to external disturbances. To mitigate these issues the energy storage system is one of the components most used. The objective function has been modelled as a combinatorial model based on optimal control strategy and particle swarm optimisation algorithm. An optimal management and control of energy stored model are proposed as research contributions. The proposed model helped to anticipate any imbalance condition of the three distributed generations interconnected and avoided unplanned load shedding by controlling the load frequency variation in the tie-lines. The scheme considers the battery state of charge, generation rate and power flows in the tie-lines as system constraints. To show the effectiveness of the proposed control management model simulation results are proposed.
